Install FCS without MOM Agent

To install ForeFront Client Setup (FCS) without MOM agent the command line entry is as follows:

x64

Code: Select all

D:\CLIENT\X64\clientsetup.exe /NOMOM

X86

Code: Select all

D:\CLIENT\clientsetup.exe /NOMOM

This will install FCS without the MOM agent which means no reporting agent will be installed. This means that FCS will not report back to a server on its status each forefront instance would then need to be managed and checked on the actual machines.

If you encounter this error:

Microsoft Forefront Client Security -- Installation failed.
Failed to initialize log file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront\Client Secur
ity\Client\Logs\Clientsetup.log'.  Make sure that the log path and file and/or i
nstall path is valid and accessible.

Please open an elevated command prompt window.

This is due to UAC being enabled.

Ensure the log path is valid and accesssable.
